Waking up before the sunrise, when the house is still dark; before the world starts moving and the sun is high…well…that’s my favorite time of day. Is there anything more beautiful than a morning filled with that golden light, just as the sun is rising? That short period of time when the glow is soft, before the brightness of the day becomes too much to capture that cozy, warm, dawn of a new day feeling. I don’t think so.
Even though we do our best to capture the essence of nature, in a candle, nothing beats the real thing. The honeysuckle, the pine, the cedar, the fresh-cut grass, the wildflowers, the farms… oh yes… even the farms. I could go on and on and on. But I won’t. Instead, why don’t you go outside for a walk, or just grab your coffee (both hands now) and step outside? Breathe. it. in. Soak it all up! And then do it again, tomorrow.
I recently took a photography course called “A Month of Multiples” with Kim Klassen (KimKlassen.com). If you are interested in photography or journaling, then Kim is your gal! I cannot say enough about how much I’ve learned from her courses. So inspiring. The first week was “The World Around You” These are some favorites from my world, in September, so far.

With September mornings like this, I can only imagine what October will bring.
