Winter in Florida is something to behold. A time to breathe, to pause and to listen. A time to look around and pay attention… to really be present. Noticing. I’m in love with what I see and feel when I’m here. The warm sun, the vast body of water that surrounds us, the snow-white sand. Watching the sunrise, and set. The bluest skies and the brightest stars. The salt air that seems to heal everything. And the cold, rainy days that remind us we’re still in the winter season. Oh yes, it’s still winter… the ‘cozy’ season.
I have my camera out every day. I must. I have to document what I see. Not only for my own memories but to share with you. I feel a deep connection to nature when I’m here, just as I do in the fall when we head north to God’s Country, aka Northern Wisconsin. I always think I want to take pictures of people, make portraits, or even events. But then… then I walk outside and see things like this and I know where my heart is.
xo.
