I recently decided (since I’ve grown in my photography and editing skills) to revisit some of the images I’ve captured over the years. Well…all I can say is I’m in LOVE with some of these pictures! I’ve been going back and forth (in my head) whether to share them here or to keep them all to myself. I mean…what’s the point in making so many pictures if I’m only going to share them with my Mom…and Joe! (obviously) 🙂 They may be the only two people that read the things I write or view the pictures I make, but still… So I decided, what the heck?! I’m sharing some of my favorites right here! I don’t do much post-processing (editing) but what I do do is done in Lightroom cc. I don’t know how to use photoshop (yet); it is on my list of things to learn…someday.
This was a trip I took two years ago with our youngest daughter Amanda, and my very dear cousin, Carol. We spent almost three weeks touring Italy. It was a trip to remember, to be sure! I have LOTS and LOTS of pictures to share from this trip, but here’s a few to start with (watch for updates). I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. And besides, a nice little imaginary trip to Italy can prove to be very relaxing!
This one…^^^ is my absolute favorite! It was taken in Florence, Italy (or Firenze, as it’s called there). It was a rainy day and we walked around for hours and hours in the on and off drizzle and downpours! I just love this scene. Who wouldn’t want to be sitting there enjoying a glass of wine?!
This one…^^^ was taken inside a little shop where they were selling fresh meats and cheeses. So cool, right?!
This is outside the cafe from where the first image (above) was taken. The whole scene is just charming! I wanna do over in Florence!
What better place to take a selfie than in the Roman Forum! Selfie sticks were being sold all over this place!
And this couple just happened to show up at the same time we did, in Naples. How romantic! (He even gave her a nice kiss…which I wasn’t able to get on camera.) 🙁
When you have to share the alley (where the door to your Airbnb is) with the local traffic! (Suck it in! That’s TIGHT!) Naples
Just some locals out for a walk in Naples. So kind of them to share their city with all of us tourists!
BOOKS!!! Oh, how I wished I’d bought just one! Even though I know ZERO Italian! But still… (Venice)
And what of this??? LOL! Even the Gondolier browses his phone while waiting for something to do. 🙂
A window display in Venice at a great little coffee shop.
When in Rome… We ate and ate and ate! This was no place for a diet. We had gelato and pizza (the best!) every day!
There is something so intimidating about these very large (HUGE) buildings!
To see the larger than life chariots on top of this building… IMPRESSIVE!
The Vatican. This was NOT on my “list of things to see”, but I’m so glad we did! I don’t remember what all I learned about this place, but it was interesting when I was hearing it. 🙂
We were smart here (although it doesn’t look like it from this picture.) We did a tour of The Colleseum, The Roman Forum, and The Vatican. It helped a lot and saved us a TON of time since we got to jump the line!
And the Colleseum…JUST WOW!!! The history in this place amazes me.
Hard to believe we couldn’t find it when we first arrived. All we had to do was walk one block! 🙂
And last but not least… thirst no more! Water fountains EVERYWHERE! Love that! No need to keep buying bottles…just fill them up here.
